We were overwhelmed last Thursday night to be presented with 2 trophies at the Barossa Wine Show 2012.  The 2010 Red Art Shiraz won the Fuller Trophy for Most Outstanding Single Vineyard Table Wine, Premium Classes,  and also the Collotype Labels Barossa Trophy for Most Outstanding Table Wine, Small Producer, Premium Classes.

Red Art wines are made exclusively from our 12 acre single vineyard and we make our wines with the aim of expressing the characteristics unique to our vineyard.  Being a very small producer (production is usually between 3 and 10 tonnes) the vineyard management and wine making is hand crafted with a lot of love.  Both of the trophies we won re-enforce that we have done the right thing by selecting a great vineyard site and managing it specifically for producing single vineyard wine.  There are obviously a lot of fantastic small producers in the Barossa, so to be awarded with the most outstanding wine from a small producer is a huge compliment.  We picked 3.7 tonne of Shiraz for our 2010 Red Art Shiraz.  That’s about 250 cases of wine!

As well as the two trophies we also won a gold medal for our Red Art Shiraz 2006.  Another fantastic result which we are very pleased with.
