  • We have only 6 magnums available. One magnum can be purchased with any dozen order of Rojomoma wines. Our 2018 vintage Red Art Shiraz is one of our best vintages so far. It is a full bodied wine exploding with complexity. Delicious flavours of black fruits, liquorice, blackberry pie, espresso martini, dark chocolate, charcuterie, earthy spice and black pepper are augmented by smooth silky full tannins.    We have 3 separate blocks of shiraz on our little single vineyard, and each plot provides different characters and tannin profiles.  Together they create a wine with great depth and layers of flavours. Picked when the fruit just achieves full ripeness, the tannin is well developed while the fruit remains fresh.  Maturation in seasoned French oak allows the single vineyard characters to shine through without strong oak influence.  This wine is stunning to drink now but will continue to cellar well for many years to come. • The 2018 vintage is one of our best ever. This seriously complex wine shows delicious flavours of black current, blackberry, cinnamon, black olive, dark cocoa, cola, earthy spice, paprika, and After Dinner Mint. Gently matured in seasoned French oak allows for great fruit expression. Such an intriguing wine that is beautifully round and soft with huge length.  It is such a joy to experience now and will continue to mature well for many years to come. • Our flagship wine Raj’s Pick is a made from the best hand selected parcels of grapes. Named after our son Raj, it is only made in vintages that produce fruit suitable for Raj’s Pick. Concentrated basket-pressings have added great richness, intense flavours and dense tannins to the wine. This is delicately balanced with beautiful French oak. If you have the willpower, it can be cellared for many years to come. Only 30 dozen made! "...This wine is only a 300-bottle production wine, and like last year’s spectacular 2015 vintage, which blew people away at my launch at Australia House in London, this is as complex as any wine I have tasted this year with an ever-changing vortex of liquorice, earth, oak, spice and dense black fruit..."

  • Our highly awarded 2016 vintage Red Art Shiraz is a full bodied wine with fabulous fruit expression.   We have 3 separate blocks of shiraz on our little single vineyard, and each plot provides different characters and tannin profiles.  Together they create a wine with great depth and layers of flavours.  Maturation in mostly older French oak allows the single vineyard characters to shine through without strong oak influence.  This wine will continue to develop in the bottle for many, many years to come. Trophy: Red Wine of Provenance, National Wine Show of Australia 2017 The Red Wine of Provenance Trophy awards the best and most age worthy red wine in Australia.  Three vintages of the same wine spanning 10 years are judged as a group, assessing the consistency of quality and expression over time.  In 2017 our Red Art Shiraz vintages 2016, 2010, 2006 won this very important trophy. Decanter May 2023 96 points From a family-run micro-winery founded by sixth-generation Barossan vigneron Sam Kurtz and his wife Bernadette Kaeding, who also designs all the labels for their range. The Shiraz vines on their 5ha Ebenezer site were 20 years old in this moderately warm vintage; the fruit (some left as whole bunches) was handpicked and fermented with wild yeasts in open-top vats, basket pressed, then aged 15 months in seasoned French oak.  Decanter judges comments: Justin Knock MW "Intriguing aromatic complexity, savoury, elusive, peppercorn and cured meats, turmeric and sage. Silky and charming, beguiling." Tina Gellie "Gorgeous youthful purity on the nose, pretty and lifted, full of florals, berries and exotic smoky spices. Compelling, a lightly dancing and breezy Shiraz with good structure." Roger Jones "Clean and focused with a smoky element, blackcurrants, spice, restrained. A classy wine full of promise, ripe fruit still at the fore but a lovely complexity, too."

  • Red Art Amplify Shiraz is the purest expression of Shiraz from our single vineyard in Ebenezer. This innovative wine, with twelve years in the making, is a blend of 10 vintages from 2006 to 2018. The luscious aged complexity from the older vintages is lifted by the intense primary fruit from the younger ones. The individual parcels knit together, removing vintage variation, and amplifying the Shiraz characteristics to create a unique and true varietal expression. This first cuvee of Amplify Shiraz in 2019 is stunning to drink now, but will continue to age beautifully for many years. Cuvee I is made in very tiny amounts 750ml bottles: 216 3 litre bottles: 4 6 litre bottles: 2 Please enquire directly to purchase 3 or 6 litre sizes. Cellaring potential 10 years+ We have created our own labels, printing each one on Japanese rice paper then signing, numbering and hand applying to each bottle. Each 750ml bottle is packed in a beautiful burnished timber box. Rojomoma, Amplify Cuvée 1, Ebenezer, Barossa Valley, South Australia 96 points Tina Gellie, Australia Editor, Decanter While the individual Red Art cuvées express their unique vintage conditions, Amplify – as it suggests in the name – concentrates the character of both the Shiraz grape and Rojomoma's Ebenezer vineyard through a blend of 10 vintages of that wine. Library stock over 12 years, from 2006 to 2018 (excluding the tannic 2007, 2009 and 2013 vintages), were decanted, blended and rebottled for the first iteration of this exclusive cuvée. Husband and wife team Sam Kurtz and Bernadette Kaeding showcase the exotic incense-like spice and savoury olive and leather complexity of the mature wines which meld seamlessly on a silky, supple, layered palate alongside youthful, exuberant black berry purity. Delicious now thanks to its ripe, juicy fruit concentration and balanced alcohol, the deft acidity and fine tannin structure will ensure it continues to evolve. Just 186 litres of this inaugural multi-vintage cuvée were made, with only six bottles in large format, all individually signed and numbered – the labels designed and printed by Kaeding, an awarded photographic artist. At a recent Decanter panel tasting of current and classic Barossa Shiraz cuvées, Rojomoma was the top producer, its Red Art Shiraz 2016 – part of this Amplify blend – receiving the joint highest score of 96 points, with the 2004 scoring 95 points. The release of Amplify Cuvée II in another four or five years is likely to show some overlap in vintages, potentially from 2012 to 2023. A collector's item in the making. Drink 2023-2030 Alc 14.4%
  • Wild Scarlet Shiraz Cabernet is a classic blend which synergises the richness of Shiraz with the dark cocoa of Cabernet Sauvignon.  The gentle use of oak adds a further dimension and creates a wine ready to drink now, but can also be matured for 10 years.   Named after the pretty ground cover Kennedia Prostrata, with stunning red flowers, and native to our vineyard in the Barossa, Wild Scarlet celebrates the beauty of our much loved wine region and the surrounding conservation parks that we enjoy hiking in.
  • Wild Scarlet Shiraz is a bright, youthful wine full of fresh dark fruit, earthy spice and full round tannin.  Attractive oak and a soft mouth feel created a wine which is delicious to drink now, but can also be matured for 10 years.   Named after the pretty ground cover Kennedia Prostrata, with stunning red flowers, and native to our vineyard in the Barossa, Wild Scarlet celebrates the beauty of our much loved wine region and the surrounding conservation parks that we enjoy hiking in. "Rojomoma’s Wild Scarlet Shiraz leverages Sam Kurtz’s intuitive winemaking into creating an affordable, estate-level creation, but with a couple of his trademark flourishes that you expect only to find on his more expensive wines. While this wine is ripe, glossy and pure with an actively forward air, there is an impressive degree of complexity, which has been tempered so as not to slow this wine down, beneath the bonnet. This means that while this is a precocious Shiraz, it sacrifices nothing in length or amplitude of fruit flavours, resulting in a grand vin framework with immediate drinking flavours."

  • Best in the World  ~  Wine writing books, Gourmand International Book Awards

After achieving the position of Best Wine Writing book in Australia for the Gourmand International Book Awards 2016, Bernie's book then went on the compete for the Best in the World (Wine writing) in the Gourmand International Book Awards.  The top 3 books in each category are awarded "Best in the World".  "True Stories: Portraits of Barossa Winemakers" came 3rd in the Wine Writing Category and so can now proudly wear the title of "Best in the World" in the Gourmand International Book Awards.  The international competition is like a 'Book Olympics', with countries around the globe competing for the top three positions in their category.   "Let no one think this is simply a human version of Wine Dogs.  It's a great deal more than that; Bernadette is a superb photographer with great imagination, a great sense of humour, and writes with flair. Every photograph and its accompanying story is a joy to look at and to read.  It's hard to say more, so compelling are the images.  One wouldn't normally expect to use the words 'page turner' (more often used for a well written crime thriller), but once you open the book, you will be swept along through to the finish." James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion True Stories: Portraits of Barossa Winemakers is a collection of photographic portraits of winemakers with their hobbies - an insight into their personality, beyond their wine brand. Accompanying each image I have written a story reflecting the conversations we had during the photo sessions and each winemaker has also contributed their own piece. The photographic style and theme allowed the winemakers to comfortably be themselves and reveal not just who they are, but interesting tales about themselves as well.  The narrative shares those stories in the same whimsical, relaxed fashion in which they were first discussed.  As a collective, the characters in this book display a snap shot of a section of today's Barossa culture.     Save

  • Chiaro (key-ah-row) is the bright, lively, modern wine in our range. A blend of hand picked Grenache and Tempranillo, it is a fabulously vibrant wine with flavours of raspberries, cherries, rhubarb, red liquorice and cranberry. Chiaro is fresh and crunchy with a silky texture.  The zesty finish sings!  Enjoy this wine in its youth and chill lightly. We have taken the word Chiaro from the Italian art term 'chiaroscuro' which describes the use of light and shade. 'Chiaro' is light, and 'scuro' is dark.
